About the Band
“Rustlings” consists of Sebastian Noelle on Guitar, Matt Aronoff on Bass and Mark Ferber on drums. Listening to them play is like listening to them having a conversation, there are moments of sincerity mixed with sudden absurdity. “My favorite thing about playing with these musicians is that if I decide to run off a musical cliff they will either catch me or come with me” says Nilsson “Either way, it is an adventure”.
From the first to the last note of the show the audience is invited to join in the musical journey. The compositions lay a framework for exploration, sometimes the musicians choose to stay close to the frame and sometimes they go far. It will never be the same twice. Come hear them live to experience the organic shifting nature of their expression using bird calls and the every breath in the room to grow moments of jazz as collective communication.
